The State-owned Corporation of Arzaq Has Signed Contracts for the Supply of Food Items with Four Emirati Entities This Year;

The State-owned Corporation of Arzaq, in implementing its fundamental activities and commercial plans, has signed contracts with the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Labor and Social Affairs, and Public Health since the beginning of this year for the supply and distribution of essential food items.
According to these contracts, the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq is responsible for supplying and distributing ten types of essential food items to the relevant departments in the capital and 33 provinces of the country.
Company officials state that the signed contracts include items such as rice, oil, sugar, beans, chickpeas, tea, tomato paste, and other essential food products. Additionally, based on the request of these entities, fresh food items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, milk, and others are also supplied daily by the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq.
The officials overseeing the implementation of projects in the capital and provinces confirm that, under these contracts, they are responsible for supplying food to educational, healthcare, and other institutions affiliated with the four ministries. This includes the Imam Abu Hanifa School, the Kabul Arabic Darul Uloom, and the Darul Ulooms of six other provinces under the Ministry of Education.
According to these officials, the company has signed contracts to supply essential food items to Polytechnic and Central Universities, six cadre hospitals, the Abdullah Ibn Masood Madrasa, six other madrasas in various provinces, and dormitories of universities in 30 provinces under the Ministry of Higher Education.
Furthermore, the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq, under the signed contracts, supplies food items to hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health and nearly 40 hospitals and addiction treatment centers across 33 provinces.
The officials of the company's project implementation team also state that, regarding contracts with orphanages and childcare centers under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the company supplies essential food items to approximately six childcare centers and 33 orphanages in the capital and all provinces of the country.
Project implementation officials in both the capital and provinces emphasize that in Kabul, the food items are supplied and handed over to the relevant authorities. Meanwhile, in the provinces, the Arzaq Company’s implementation teams deliver the food to the respective Arzaq management offices, which then distribute the supplies to the concerned authorities.
It is worth noting that the State-owned Corporation of Arzaq has made significant progress in its operations over the past three years and has improved its activities by 80% to date.
