Job Purpose (Summary):

Perform technical duties, supervise projects, ensure the quality of construction and installations, and collaborate in the implementation of projects related to the State-Owned Corporation Arzaq in accordance with technical standards and professional principles.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Professional Duties:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in accordance with the plan of the Directorate of Properties and in line with the applicable laws of the country.
  • Design and prepare engineering drawings along with cost estimates for planned construction and installation projects.
  • Continuously supervise project implementation on-site.
  • Participate in engineering surveys prior to the commencement of work.
  • Apply safety and health standards at the worksite.
  • Collaborate with technical, design, structural, and administrative teams for effective project progress.
  • Review and approve invoices and project progress reports.
  • Resolve technical issues arising during project implementation.
  • Monitor proper maintenance and use of technical equipment and tools.
  • Full proficiency in engineering-related software (computer programs).
  • Provide recommendations to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D designs and estimate engineering work volumes.
  • Perform other duties assigned by authorized authorities in accordance with laws, regulations, and company objectives.

Authorities:

  • Supervise and control engineering aspects of projects.
  • Recommend suspension of work in case of non-compliance with engineering standards.
  • Provide professional opinions in decision-making processes.
  • Organize and manage all central property documents of the company to maintain accurate records.
  • Submit monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-needed reports on activities and achievements to the Directorate of Properties.
  • Perform other duties assigned by senior authorities in accordance with laws, regulations, and company objectives.

Coordination Duties:

  • Establish communication and coordination with internal and external departments to ensure better organization of activities.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be shortlisted:

Education:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; higher degrees will be given preference.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience for Bachelor’s degree holders.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for Master’s degree holders.

Other Skills:

  • Full proficiency (spoken and written) in one of the national languages (Pashto or Dari), and good knowledge of English.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant software and internet usage required for office work.
  • Good knowledge of applicable laws related to the field of work.
  • Ability to establish professional communication with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
  • Strong communication skills.
