State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq Commercial Market Inaugurated in Balkh Province
The commercial market of the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq, affiliated with the General Directorate of State-Owned Companies, was inaugurated and officially put into operation in a ceremony held in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Head of the Office of the Governor of Balkh Province, several heads of government institutions, Mawlawi Abdul Razaq Rafi, Executive Director of the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq, Mawlawi Mohammad Ashraf Muttaqi, Director of Invitation and Guidance at the General Directorate of State-Owned Companies, Mawlawi Abdul Habib, General Manager of Arzaq, Mohammad Noman Nader, Head of the Company’s Real Estate Department, Qari Abdul Basit Abu Tariq, General Manager of Arzaq in Ghazni Province, religious scholars, traders, businesspeople, and local residents.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the General Manager of Arzaq in Balkh welcomed the participants and provided information about the value and objectives of the newly established commercial market.
Subsequently, officials of Balkh Province, in their speeches, described the opening of the market as an important step toward the development of the economy, trade, and investment, as well as providing employment opportunities for the people.
Mawlawi Abdul Razaq Rafi, Executive Director of the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq, stated in his remarks that the opening of the market was an important achievement in increasing the company’s revenues, promoting trade and economic growth, and creating employment opportunities for the people.
He added that the market would provide business opportunities for traders and shopkeepers and create investment opportunities for domestic investors.
Mr. Rafi also briefed the participants on the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq core activities and services and spoke about the expansion of the company’s operational scope.
He called on national and local traders to make their investments within the framework of the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq and to actively contribute to serving the citizens of the country.
A representative of the traders also addressed the gathering and spoke about the value and importance of the commercial market.
Following the ceremony, the commercial market was officially inaugurated and put into operation by the officials of Balkh Province and the Executive Director of the State-Owned Corporation of Arzaq.
According to the General Manager of Arzaq in Balkh, the commercial market has been constructed on a 9,242-square-meter plot of land in Mazar-e-Sharif. The market consists of two floors and 11 blocks, and was built in a solid and standard manner at a cost of approximately 54 million Afghanis.
According to information provided by the Arzaq management in Balkh, the opening of the market will provide people with opportunities for trade and investment and create a suitable environment for generating employment opportunities.
